A new corporate scholarship has been established at MGIMO on the initiative of Mikhail Shelkov, a member of the university's board of trustees, and Rector A.V. Torkunov.
Mikhail Shelkov, deputy chairman of the board of directors of VSMPO-AVISMA:
“This year we have allocated 1.4 million rubles (18 000 USD) to support seven MGIMO students. These are strong learners, who are among the top one-third of students with a performance rating of 90% and above. They are engaged in science and put in a lot of effort in and around the institute. In the next academic year we will definitely return to the issue of supporting talented and active students again.“
Seven students from the university became winners of the monthly scholarship of the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation PJSC in the amount of 20 000 rubles (275 USD) each. Candidates were selected on the basis of academic performance and their participation in research and social activities at the university.
