Program “Best Teachers of Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda”

In September 2022, Empathy expanded its support for teachers in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Region, through a new program. An expert jury will select up to 100 teachers based on the results of a special competition, and they will receive monthly payments of 15,000 rubles (217 USD)  throughout the academic year in addition to the payments from the Support Program for Teachers in Sverdlovsk Region.

Participation Criteria

Distinguished teachers will be determined by an expert commission based on the portfolio system – a collection of necessary information to evaluate a teacher’s activities. It is crucial to not only highlight existing achievements but also share professional career goals.

Portfolio Groups 

  1. Primary School Teachers: Grades 1-4
  2. Middle School Teachers: Grades 5-9
  3. High School Teachers: Grades 10-11
  4. Teachers working with children with disabilities (special educational needs), speech therapists, social workers and others.

 

Participation in the program is intended for one academic year. To participate in the program in subsequent years, it is necessary to compile a new portfolio with updated achievements for the last academic year.
