In Verkhnyaya Salda, cash prizes were awarded to graduates with 100-point scores

The Empathy Foundation presented cash prizes to Verkhnyaya Salda graduates who passed the Unified State Exam (USE) with 100 points.

Three school children in Verkhnyaya Salda received the highest grade on the USE in 2021: Sergei Andreychikov and Denis Lukanin from School No. 2, in computer science, and Andrei Zlygostev from School No. 6, in geography. The solemn awarding of certificates for 50 000 rubles (700 USD) from Empathy took place on August 10.

Alexander Okatiev, the coordinator of the Empathy Foundation in Verkhnyaya Salda, presented the certificates to the school children and noted: “Three hundred points in the USE is a historic record for Verkhnyaya Salda. Previously, such a high score was received by single graduates  in 2018 and 2020 respectively. The Empathy Foundation was very timely in supporting Salda teachers, and now we are happy to reward their students as well.”

The quality of education in Verkhnyaya Salda is steadily improving, thanks in part to a project by Mikhail Shelkov’s Empathy Charitable Foundation: from November 2020, every teacher in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda will receive a monthly payment of 15 000 rubles (200 USD) from Empathy. The goal of the project is to help and support teachers in the cities of the Russian Federation, opening new opportunities for the realization of their ideas.
