The Empathy Foundation, which supports teachers in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda, has launched a new project for school pupils. Children will take part in the youth engineering accelerator “Masterskaya: Salda 2.0”. The initiative will be supported by the world’s largest titanium corporation, VSMPO-AVISMA. According to the idea of the developers, the Higher Technical School (Tula), the children should present programs for the development and improvement of Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda and prove their effectiveness.
A teacher from Verkhnyaya Salda took part in the municipal stage of the all-Russian contest "Teacher of the Year-2021" and won in the category "Effective use of interactive learning tools". Igor Zorikhin, a teacher of geography at School No.3, is one of the first graduates of the Empathy Foundation's educational courses for teachers in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda.
The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation and the Empathy Foundation continue to implement the professional development project for teachers in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda. This year, the Empathy Foundation approved six courses, which will include programs to introduce modern teaching methods, such as storytelling, brainstorming, microlearning, gamification, organization of students' project-research activities, as well as a course to improve teachers' information and communication literacy.
Ninety-one teachers from the city of Verkhnyaya Salda graduated from the first iteration of the course "Digital Tools in the Work of a Teacher". After the launch of the second iteration, more than 115 teachers from Nizhnyaya Salda will join them.
About 200 teachers from schools in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda received certificates of advanced training under the program "Digital Tools in the Work of a Teacher". The program was initiated by the Empathy Foundation.
VSMPO-AVISMA and the Empathy Charitable Foundation will help low-income families with multiple children. In total, 667 children will receive assistance worth more than 3 million rubles (40 000 USD). According to the press service of the titanium corporation, gift certificates will be given to low-income families of Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda with incomes below the subsistence minimum.
Representatives of the Empathy Charitable Foundation visited educational institutions in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda. Teachers from 16 schools were told about the benefits of the organization's program.
